Ithaca was settled in 1788 when a surveyor selected the site for a city. The city was named after the Greek island, Ithaca, and was selected by the surveyor's friend. Chuck Raniewicz: "Keystone Decks has to be the smoothest running operation I've seen. I hired them to build a deck and they did absolutely professional work from beginning to end. I've hired many contractors over the years as I am a landlord with several properties. Only Keystone Decks was as courteous and professional as I had hoped. From the early planning stages to the ending finalizing stages, they never disappointed me in any way. Each day, Kevin and company would show up on time (driving from over 1.5 hours away) and immediately get to work. There was a calmness about them I've not seen on any other crew. Each person knew their job and set out about it as soon as they showed up. There was great respect for the job they were doing and the interactions between the workers themselves were remarkable as they are absolutely courteous to each other (not to mention how courteous they were to us!). They were very easygoing about last-minute changes and simply focused on doing the best job possible, which they did. Mahlon was extremely patient and courteous and responded to each inquiry quickly. He actually did the initial measurements in 2 feet of snow and it never even appeared to bother him in the least. He relayed all my information and instructions to the crew without a flaw. I wish I could hire them for every contracting or building need. Every company should operate the way they do. I cannot recommend them enough. They even sent a small Thank You gift which is absolutely unheard of but was very thoughtful and appreciated. I see only great success in their future."

Priyanka Sen: "If I could give Keystone 10 stars I would. This was the most seamless process I have ever experienced with a contractor from start to finish. Mahlon was awesome when he came to do measurements and was super clear about all the different options we could get on the deck. He also helped us get to our target budget, but still have a beautiful deck. The only downside (no fault of Keystone!) was having to wait for the deck to be built because the permitting process was backlogged. But Mahlon was very honest about this in our initial meeting and still provided an accurate start date of late October/early November. They started the job on November 1st and finished the 2nd!! Now the crew - WOW. Early to the job. Worked non-stop. Cleaned up after themselves and were EXTREMELY kind and courteous. I was told this would take three days which was already very impressive. Kevin and his crew finished in 1.5 days. Their outstanding professionalism and absolutely stunning craft are impeccable. It’s clear they work really well together and that everyone has a clear and coordinated job to get things done so efficiently without sacrificing the construction or craft. They brought one truck that also had one small bulldozer on a trailer the first day, and then just a work truck the second day. This was actually really helpful as we live on a tight street. We had neighbors who used another company to do their deck and the company they hired was disrespectful, loud, and brought huge trailers that clogged up our street. The Keystone crew was the exact opposite - and got the job done in a quarter of the time!!! Keystone was awesome - professional, timely, and courteous. Best experience I have ever had with a contractor. I highly recommend using them!"
