Paoli, Pa grew around a highly successful inn run in 1769 by Joshua Evans. Evans’ father bought 500 acres from William Penn in 1719. The town was the site of the Battle of Paoli in the Revolutionary War. As of 2010, Paoli was home to 5,575 residents. It covers just over two square miles.
