Located in Bucks County, Ivyland was founded in 1873 by a Quaker, Edwin Lacey. Lacey was related to the Revolutionary War general John Lacey. This little village covers .35 square miles and is home to 1,041 people.

Ivyland has a rich colonial history and a wealth of historic buildings. Influential historical figures like John Fitch, inventor of the steamboat, congressman Robert Ramsey, and Colonel Joseph Hart all had close connections to the area.

The Borough of Ivyland website states the following:

“The Borough of Ivyland, Bucks County, is the second smallest in area and one of the smallest boroughs in population in the state of Pennsylvania. Despite its size, Ivyland is a uniquely historic area, with most of the Borough listed on the National Register of Historic Places and described as ‘perhaps the finest collection of Victorian buildings in the state.’”
