Downington was settled in the early 1700s and is home to a number of historic structures. These include the County Bridge No. 124, Downingtown Log House, General Washington Inn, Roger Hunt Mill, and others. The town was originally called Milltown because of the high number of mills that operated along the Brandywine River. The name was changed to Downignton after Quaker businessman Thomas Downing. Downing owned a number of mills in the area and the town was unofficially called Downignton for some time before the name was made official in 1812. Downingtown is now home to 7,898 people and covers 2.19 square miles.

The deck was beautifully crafted with high end finishes like a curved deck railing and post and stair LED lighting that really gives it custom look. I loved the CAD rendering they showed me so I could really visualize the finished product before committing to them. And they were able to build the week after I signed!
